Barbour's General Store This museum, an authentic nineteenth-century country general store, was restored by the G.E. Barbour Company in 1967 to mark the centennial year of both Canada and the G.E. Barbour Company. The store was originally located at Sheffield, New Brunswick, 60 miles up the St. John River. It was floated down the river by barge in two pieces and set up on King Street East in 1967.

Hayward China Museum The Hayward China Museum preserves the history of the china and earthenware industry of Saint John, and chronicles the development of Hayward and Warwick Company Ltd., one of Saint John's oldest family-owned businesses. Located at 85 Princess St., the China Museum is open year-round and offers free admission.
Loyalist House Loyalist House was constructed in 1811 by David Daniel Merrit, a Loyalist from Rye, New York and completed in 1817. It is the oldest building in the city, surviving the Great Fire by servant surrounding it with wet towels. The Merrit family continuously occupied it for nearly 150 years. It was acquired by the New Brunswick Historical Society in 1959.

New Brunswick Museum The New Brunswick Museum was established in 1842 and is the oldest continuing museum in Canada. The museum moved to its Market Square location in 1996. A special marine mammals gallery is home to "Delilah" a 40-foot North Atlantic right whale that beached off Grand Manan in 1992. Delilah's full skeletal remains are on display, hanging from the ceiling.
Quaco Museum Opened in 1978, the Quaco Museum contains the permanent collection of artifacts and archival material relating to the history and heritage of the Quaco - St. Martins area. Shipbuilding, forestry and family life are featured. The facility consists of the museum, archives and a general reading library.

Saint John Firefighters' Museum (Old Engine House No. 2) The Firefighters' Museum was built in 1840, survived the Great Fire of 1877, and was designated as a National Historic Site in 1995. The Museum houses a collection of firefighting tools from the nineteenth and twentieth century and a large collection of photographs pertaining to firefighting in Saint John. The second floor features a room dedicated to the Great Fire of 1877 including photographs of before and after the fire as well as the rebuilding period.

Saint John Jewish Historical Museum Created in the 1980s in order to preserve the Jewish heritage of Saint John, the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum operates on a seasonal basis from late May to mid October. It is the only Jewish museum in Atlantic Canada.
